13! Bios

Sophie Aguilar (she/her) is 12 years old and a student at Valley Forge Middle school. Recent credits include, Into the Woods Jr. (Little Red), Mary Poppins (Jane Banks), The Music Man (Amaryllis), The Little Mermaid Jr. (Flounder), The Addams Family (Pugsley), and Bye Bye Birdie (Alice). Sophie enjoys spending time with her family, art, and spending time outside. Sophie is so excited to be a part of this talented cast. She would like to thank Nick, Emi, and Sydney for this opportunity!

Ellie Akins (she/her) is a ten-year-old at TEMS, and is very excited to be in 13! Her favorite past shows include The Little Mermaid at Community Through Song (Grimsby), and Children of Eden (ensemble) and The Wizard of Oz at The Springer Studio Youth Theater (Lollipop guild/ensemble). Ellie takes voice lessons with Nick Harmantzis and also loves to read. She would like to thank her family for their love and support, and also Nick, Emi, and Sydney for making this show so fun!

Serafina Ameche (she/her) is 13 years old and is an eighth grader at Valley Forge Middle School. She has performed in nine musicals, recently playing the Baker in her school’s production of Into the Woods, and has participated in several other musical theater and dance programs. She was also recently selected to attend the PMEA District 12 Chorus Fest. Serafina currently studies voice with Nick Harmantzis, is involved in two school choirs, and plays the viola in her school’s orchestras. She would like to thank her friends and Mr. Nick for being supportive and helping her grow as a performer over the past few years.

Aliyeh Ashlie (she/her) is thrilled to be back on the stage again with such an amazing cast and crew. Some of her casting highlights include Ash Girl (Ruth),Mama Mia (Dance Ensemble), Annie (Kate), 42nd Street School Edition, (Dorothy Brock), Winnie the Pooh (Piglet), Matilda (Lavender). As a dually enrolled eighth grader at PALCS (CPFA & USP), Aliyeh enjoys art, dancing, singing, and listening to her growing eclectic music collection. Aliyeh would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her dreams. A special thanks to Catherine Brown for being her weekly vocal support. And an all around thanks to the directors and crew at Community Through Song for making my first experience here a wonderful one.

Alexandra Block (she/her) is thirteen years old and in eighth grade at Valley Forge Middle School. Her recent credits include Into The Woods Jr. (Baker's Wife), High School Musical (Allison, Cheerleader, Jock, Thespian), A Christmas Story, The Musical (Ralphie Parker), Elf Jr. - The Musical (Charlotte Dennon), Beauty and the Beast, Jr. (Gaston), and Mary Poppins (Valentine). Alex has studied voice with Nick Harmantzis for the past 4 years and is very grateful for his guidance and support. She would also like to thank Emi and Sydney and the cast for making this such a fun experience, and especially her family for their endless support throughout her journey in the performing arts.

Aidan Charnley (he/him) is so excited to be a part of this terrific cast and show! Aidan is an 8th grader at Phoenixville Area Middle School and most recently performed as King Triton in his school's production of The Little Mermaid, Jr. Other credits include Robin Hood (Robin), Music Man Jr. (Harold Hill), Annie Jr. (Oliver Warbucks), The Jungle Book (Baloo) and Dear Edwina (Frank/Johnny). In addition to theatre, Aidan enjoys plaing soccer and tennis, as well as skiing. Aidan would like to thank Nick Harmantzis for his ongoing support of his vocal studies, as well as Amy Darby, Christine Trafford, Michael Donnelly, Ian Carney and Kate Nice. He would also like to thank his family for their love and support.

Emily Decker (she/her) is 15 years old and attends Radnor High School. She first started performing in third grade as the apple seller in UMLY’s production of Annie. More recently, she appeared as Miss Honey in Radnor Middle School’s Matilda and in the ensemble of Radnor High School’s Footloose. Outside of theater, Emily runs track and cross country for RHS. Emily would like to thank her parents and family for their endless support. Finally, she would like to thank the cast and crew of 13, particularly her voice teacher, Nick Harmantzis, for their guidance and encouragement during the show.

Frances Foy (she/her) is a 14 year old who attends Great Valley Middle School and is thrilled to be part of this 13 Musical Production. Her credits include: Coweb & Puck u/s in Dreamland at Uptown Knauer Performing Arts, Annie Lead at UMLY, Duffey in Annie at SALT, Erika in Matilda at SALT and currently Glinda, Wizard of Oz at GVMS. Special Thanks to her vocal coach Ms. Betsy Rabon and various Directors: Ms. Therese at UPTOWN, Ms. Janelle at UMLY, Ms. Lauren at SALT, and of course Mr. Nick and Community Through Song. This summer Frances will return to Interlochen Performing Arts in Michigan to partake in their Musical Theatre Showcase. When not on stage you can find Frances spending time with the Bear Creek Ski Race, as she has for 3 years, or at GVMS in NJHS, Student Council, Morning Show, Ski Club, and Patriot Pals.

Maddie Garson (she/her) is thrilled to be a part of the wonderful cast of 13 The Musical. She is 14 years old, and most recently performed as Fiona, in Shrek the Musical at Strath Haven Middle School. Maddie's professional credits include The Sound of Music at The Media Theatre, The Little Mermaid at Walnut Street Theatre, and Matilda: The Musical at The Media Theatre. Outside of theatre, Maddie participates in track, cross country, piano, and chorus. Maddie would like to thank Nick Harmantzis, Sydney Becker, and Emi Aungst for putting together this amazing production.

Kate Gennarelli (she/her) is 13 and in 8th grade at Valley Forge Middle School. She plays softball, volleyball and track, and enjoys running and writing as hobbies. She recently was Rapunzel’s Prince in her school production of Into the Woods.

Orianna Gallia (she/her) is 12 years old and is excited to be apart of 13! with Community Through Song. In the past, Orianna has been apart of productions of Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, and Little Mermaid. She would like to thank Nick, Emi and Sydney, her parents amongst other family memebers for their support.

Ollie Gregorio (they/them) is an 8th grader at the Center for Performing and Fine Arts (CPFA), and is excited to be in their first CTS show! Regional theater: TIny Tim in A Christmas Carol (People's Light & Theater Company), Young Bisley in The Bisley Boy (Ritz Theatre Company) and Michael Banks in Mary Poppins (Quintessence Theatre Company). Other theatre: Matilda in Matilda: The Musical (Limelight PAC), Wednesday in The Addams Family (Stagelight/SALT), and Kassim in Aladdin, Jr (West Chester Studios). Film: Space Cadet, forthcoming on Amazon Prime. Many thanks to their voice teacher, Lisa Willson DeNolfo.

Reese Grove (she/her) is a 14 year old freshman at Pope John Paul II. You may have previously seen her before as Anna (Frozen Jr.), Grace Smythe (A Christmas Carol), Cinderella (Into the Woods Jr.), Mayzie (Seussical Jr.), Small Allison (Fun Home), and Chip (Beauty & The Beast). She'd like to thank Community Through Song for the opportunity to be a part of such a fun cast, as well as family and friends for their support.

Ainsley Hixson (she/her) is an 8th grader at Episcopal Academy where she has performed in The Little Mermaid, Annie, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and Charlotte's Web. Ainsley works with a voice teacher and takes acting classes to help improve her craft. She loves to sing, act and dance on stage and hopes to continue doing so throughout high school, college and beyond! Ainsley would like to thank her parents for their unwavering support (and rides back and forth to rehearsals). She would also like to thank her brother and sister for always encouraging her and watching her shows (sometimes multiple times) and her voice teacher who she credits for helping her get this great role. Ainsley is thrilled to play Eddie in 13! the Musical and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Haven Homack (he/him) is a 12 year old making his debut with Community Through Song as Malcom in 13 the Musical. Haven has enjoyed working with Rooted Tree Theatre prior to this performance. His recent credits include include Moana Jr. as Maui, Legally Blonde as Warner, Beauty and the Beast as The Beast , and Lion King Jr. as Shenzi. He takes voice lessons with Allison Hilliard. When he isn't on stage, Haven enjoys playing cello at home and in the school orchestra , ukulele, piano, soccer, baseball, and hanging out with his friends. Haven would like to thank Ms. Hilliard his vocal teacher, his Rooted Tree family, and his mom, dad and family for all of their support and guidance.

Ian Keller (he/him) is 14 years old and attends the Center for Performing and Fine Arts. He is thrilled to be performing in his first show at Community Through Song! Some of his favorite roles include Sebastian (Little Mermaid), Doody (Grease), Professor Callahan (Legally Blonde), Bullfrog (Honk), David & Les (Newsies), and Miles (She Kills Monsters). Ian enjoys participating in musical theatre, photography, traveling, and spending time with friends. He is proud to be part of such a talented cast and thankful for the supportive production team!

Sophia Kogay (she/they) is a 7th grader at Valley Forge Middle School and is thrilled to be in this production of “13!" Some of her previous credits include Young Eponine in Les Misérables school edition (SALT), Alice in Matilda (SALT), Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast Jr (Community through Song), featured dance ensemble in the Wedding Singer (Revival), and a featured dancer in GREASE (Jennersville YMCA). Sophia is all about music and theater and when not exploring acting on stage, she is taking vocal classes and Ballroom and Latin dance classes. Sophia thanks Nick, Emi, Sydney, and the whole cast and production team for giving her this wonderful opportunity to be in this great show and learn about all different aspects of acting! Sophia would like to thank her vocal teachers Matthew Johnson and Julia Udachina, and her amazing dance teachers Heather and Autumn from Chester County School of Arts, and Sergei and Alex from Fred Astaire Dance Studio in West Chester for inspiring her to dream big and making her laugh.

Linden Long (she/her) is 12 years old and in 7th grade. Although a frequent participant at SALT Performing Arts, she has decided to switch things up and is excited to be a part of 13! A few of her past roles include Scar (The Lion King), Ka'a (Jungle Book), Jetsam (The Little Mermaid), and Nikko (The Wizard of Oz). Outside of theatre Linden enjoys softball and track. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her through this new endeavor. 

Declan MacDonald (he/him) is thrilled to be in the cast of 13! A rising 9th grader at Conestoga High School, Declan has enjoyed doing musical theatre since age 6. He also loves tap and ballet and has been studying dance at Contempra Dance Studio for 4 yrs. Favorite past performances include High School Musical, (T/E Middle School), Frozen Jr, (Methacton Community Theatre), and The Little Mermaid (Walnut Street Theatre). Declan would like to thank his voice teacher Nick Harmantzis as well as his parents and brother Liam for always supporting him.

Sebastian Markaryan (he/him) is a 13 year old attending Armenian Sisters Academy. He is so excited to be apart of his second production with Community Through Song. His previous debut was as King Triton in The Little Mermaid. Outside of theatre, Sebastian enjoys playing basketball, soccer, and swimming. He would like to thank his voice teacher, Nick Harmantzis, and his family for their support.

Jack Myers (he/him) is 14 years old and recently played the role of the Baker in “Into the Woods” at Valley Forge Middle School/ He's also been selected to sing in the PA Music Educators Association and plays the guitar and keyboard at School of Rock. When not performing, Jack enjoys running track, writing, and learning about history in his free time.

Maggie Piazza (she/her) is 13 year old and attends Radnor Middle School. Her past shows include Matilda Jr and Beauty and the Beast Jr. Maggie enjoys playing volleyball, baking, and watching musicals. She would like to thank her mom, dad and siblings for supporting her.

Annabel Reeder (she/her) is a freshman at Conestoga High School. She has previously appeared in Matilda (YMCA), Shrek Jr. and Something Rotten (WolfPAC), and A Wrinkle in Time (Charles Wallace - Conestoga). Annabel is a member of the Cantata and Chorale choirs at school, and the youth choral group at St. Katharine of Siena. In addition to singing, Annabel plays the flute in the Concert and Marching Bands. She would like to thank her voice teacher, Katherine Mallon-Day, as well as Stephanie Twohig, for their support and encouragement. She also thanks her family for instilling in her a love of the arts.

Leander Rottman (he/him) is in 10th Grade at The Center for Performing and Fine Arts. Recent credits include Little Women (Mr. Lawrence), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Station Policeman), Mamma Mia! (Eddie), Hamlet (Bernardo), Grease (Vince Fontaine), Into the Woods (Mysterious Man/Cinderella's Father), Newsies (Mr. Pulitzer) and Bye Bye Birdie! (Albert). When Leander isn’t on stage, he enjoys working at Pietro’s Prime in West Chester and playing disc golf all over Chester County and beyond. He would like to thank Mr. H., Emi, and Sydney for welcoming him to his first show at Community Through Song. Extra love to his family for supporting him in these shows!

Leila Shah-Lipman (she/her) is thrilled to play Cassie in Community Through Song's 13: The Musical! She is twelve years old and lives in Berwyn, PA. Her past roles include Sharpay in High School Musical, Kathy in Singin' in the Rain, Grandma Addams in The Addams Family, a Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast, and teenage Fiona in Shrek. Outside of musical theater, Leila loves rock climbing, writing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She would like to thank her voice teacher, Chelsea Stotter, her family, and Community Through Song for this opportunity!

Claire Tanner (she/her) is super excited to take part in 13! Claire is 14 years old and an 8th grader at Valley Forge Middle School. Claire has most recently been seen in Into The Woods (Jack’s Mother) at Valley Forge Middle School, High School Musical (Kratnoff) at SALT Performing Arts, and A Christmas Carol (Old Hag/Ghost of Christmas Future) at Footlighters Theater. Outside of theater, Claire enjoys listening to music, playing piano, and tap dancing. She would like to thank Nick, Emi and Sydney giving her this opportunity as well as her family and fellow cast-mates for all their love and support.

Charlotte Ward Taylor (she/her) is in 8th grade at the Center for the Performing Arts in West Chester, PA. Favorite past roles include A Christmas Carol (Martha Cratchit) at the McCarter Theatre, Matilda (ensemble, u/s Matilda) and Little Mermaid (ensemble) at the Walnut Street Theatre; Honk (Fluff) at the Delaware Theater Company, Ragtime (u/s Little Girl) at the Arden Theatre Co., Lincoln: A Nation Divided (child Mary Todd) on CNN and Matilda (Matilda) at the Grand Theatre. Charlotte thanks her family, teachers, friends, and the 13 cast & crew for their love and support.

Violet Trulig (she/her) is thrilled to be a part of Community Through Song’s 13 the musical! She fell in love with theater at the age of 8 and has enjoyed performing since. Past favorite credits include Guys and Dolls (Sarah) Springford Middle School, High School Musical (ensemble), SALT Performing Arts Mainstage, (Matilda), Springford Middle School, Suessical Jr. (JoJo) Methacton Community Theater, Matilda (Hortensia) SALT Performing Arts Mainstage, Annie Jr. (Miss Hannigan) Upper Providence Musical Theater program, Honk Jr. (The Cat) and Methacton Community Theater. Violet would like to thank the directing team, cast, and crew of 13 the musical for all of the wonderful instruction and inspiration that they have given to her. In her free time she enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with her friends!

Amaia Truong (she/her) is 13 years old and is in seventh grade at Valley Forge Middle School. She has recently performed in Moana Jr (Moana) and Elf Jr (Jovie) at the Media Theatre. Other credits include High School Musical (Gabriella), the Addams Family (Wednesday), and Willy Wonka Jr (Wonka). She currently takes voice lessons with Dave Snyder at Meridee Winters School of Music. She also plays piano, cello, and French horn. She would like to thank Ben Kapilow and the Media Theatre for helping her grow as a performer.

Nyx Van Buren (they/them) is 14 years old and in 9th grade and attends Spring-Ford high school. Nyx participated in a production of Beauty and the Beast in the past. Nyx’s passions include animals, dance, musicals, and music. Nyx aspires to have a career in forensic science one day. Nyx would like to thank their family and friends for their support.

Alyssa Whitehead (she/her) is 13 years old and attends Valley Forge Middle School. Alyssa’s past productions include Into the Woods Jr. (Jack) at VFMS, A Christmas Carol at Footlighters, Frozen Jr. at SALT, Mary Poppins (Jane Banks) and Annie (Duffy) at UMLY. When she’s not on the stage, you’ll find her playing softball, coaching softball, or umpiring a softball game. Alyssa would like to thank the production team at Community Through Song, as well as her family and friends, for their love and support.

Abby Wright (she/her) is 16 and attends Conestoga High School. Past theater experiences include Numerous UMLY Community Theater productions, Scuttle in The Little Mermaid Jr (CTSS), and Dancer in She Loves Me (Conestoga High School). She is currently studying voice with Nick Harmantzis, and participates in her school's Catata and Chorale ensembles under the direction of Nathan Shughart. In addition to her interest in theater, Abby is on the Conestoga cheer team, and enjoys playing guitar in her spare time. She would like to thank her parents and sister for being supportive.
